Full Moon Libra

Full Moon in Libra – 22nd degree, 11 Apr 2017, 11h08 BST

Today a relationship, political or legal matter will come to a head, thanks to the Libra Full Moon. As a result, it is entirely possible that we may find ourselves playing witness to some unexpected developments or abrupt endings.

This particular full moon is likely to have a restless feeling about it, thanks to the proximity of the fiery Aries Sun to volatile and anxiety-producing Uranus. As well as highlighting the classic polarity between populace (Moon) and leader (Sun), heart (Moon) nd head (Sun), this soli-lunar event also has a tendency to bring cycles or situations either to a head, or to an end.

If you have been languishing in a less than desirable relationship or personal situation, then see this as an opportunity to draw a line under it, especially if there is an element of unfairness or imbalance to it. Selfish behaviour or a desire for independence are likely to be what is driving things. Decide how much you are willing to tolerate, and if necessary, create a cut-off point or ultimatum. If things haven’t improved after that, then it may be time to move on or take action.

Alternatively, you may feel a desire to act on impulse. Spontaneity is good but do bear in mind that Mercury is retrograde, so unless you are doing something low-fi or going back to a place or situation from the past, be prepared for things not to work out exactly as planned.

The Sabian symbol for this particular Full Moon is: A CHILD GIVING BIRDS A DRINK AT A FOUNTAIN

Lynda Hill sees this as a message to remain open to experiences that inspire both joy and wonder. This is the way to stay centred and connected to good energy, even in the midst of trying or shocking circustances:

…it shows that we must maintain the innocence and openness of a ‘Child’ in order to be connected to and aware of, simple, momentary and more spiritual energies.
